Laila Hessissen: In this 7th cohort, in Rabat, the DUCP welcomes 25 new candidates
Laila Hessissen, President of the Franco-African Group of Pediatric Oncology at GFAOP, shared on LinkedIn:
“The University Diploma in Pediatric Oncology (DUCP) celebrates a decade of exemplary commitment to training physicians in pediatric oncology in French-speaking Africa! Since its inception in 2014, the DUCP, accredited by the Mohamed V University of Rabat and the Paris-Saclay University, has trained 107 African doctors, uniting their efforts to improve oncological care for children across the continent.
Thanks to strong partnerships with the GFAOP and the S Foundation, the DUCP has filled expertise gaps and contributed to the establishment of new specialized units. The future looks even brighter with the opportunities offered by the Global Initiative for Childhood Cancer and the WHO‘s Cure ALL program. In this 7th cohort, currently undergoing training in Rabat, the DUCP welcomes 25 new candidates, furthering its mission to train leaders in the fight against pediatric cancer in Africa.”
