I was delighted to participate in the third edition of the National Scientific Forum of Romanian Young Oncologists, where I was invited to give a presentation on scientific publishing.
As I began my presentation, I emphasized that the early stages of a publishing career should start with the premise that failure is guaranteed and is part of the journey towards becoming an experienced scientific researcher. Also, the secret for success is the combination of a lot of practice and a good mentor.
I congrats the organisers of this event that serves as a great example of best practices that other professional societies should consider adopting to support young medical professionals.
