Michael Sapienza: The largest-ever philanthropic investment in CRC research
Michael Sapienza, CEO of Colorectal Cancer Alliance, shared on LinkedIn:
“I’m writing with exciting news from the Colorectal Cancer Alliance — the announcement of a multi-million dollar RFP from Project Cure CRC. This represents the largest-ever philanthropic investment in CRC research.
Based on expert input gained at the Project Cure CRC Summit in December, the Alliance is seeking proposals for translational research from academia and industry with the potential for high impacts on diagnoses, treatments, and survivorship. Awards range from $100,000 to $5 million per year.
Thank you to John Marshall, Scott Kopetz, Christopher Lieu, David Fenstermacher, John Woerner, Yekaterina Chudnovsky, and so many others for making this happen.
Please share this news with your colleagues and connections who may be interested in applying (or maybe it’s applicable to you!). The application portal at Proposal Central will open on March 1, and proposals will be accepted on a rolling basis. We’ll be hosting a webinar at 11 am ET on March 5 to review the RFP’s details.”
