Turning Commitment into Action, and Action into Impact – CANCaRe Africa

” ‘Together we are stronger’ Post #13, Nancy Sobhu Bolous, Health Economist, St Jude Global, Memphis, USA.
‘Health is a human right, yet for too many children with cancer in Africa, that right is still out of reach. Even when treatment is available, out-of-pocket costs can force families to ‘abandon’ care, leading to heart-breaking outcomes.
That is why am honored to work with the Zero Abandonment – CANCaRe Africa team to generate robust, relevant cost-effectiveness evidence for interventions like cash transfers that help families stay in treatment and SAVE LIVES.
As a health economist, contributing to this effort is both a responsibility and a privilege. Economic evidence does more than crunch numbers. It tells the story of what it really costs to save a life and gives us a common language to engage funders, policymakers, and partners in action.
Together, we’re working to turn commitment into action, and action into impact.’ “
