Cristian Massacesi Joins Bristol Myers Squibb as Executive Vice President, Chief Medical Officer and Head of Development
Cristian Massacesi, Executive Vice President, Chief Medical Officer and Head of Development at Bristol Myers Squibb, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Over the last six years I’ve had an incredible journey at AstraZeneca as CMO and Oncology CDO. I had the privilege of working with extraordinary teams to advance over 150 clinical studies, secure multiple regulatory approvals, and ultimately bring new medicines to patients in need. I am very grateful to each one of my colleagues for what I learned and what we achieved together.
Today I’m thrilled and privileged to share that I will be joining Bristol Myers Squibb as Executive Vice President, Chief Medical Officer and Head of Development.
While my dedication, as a medical oncologist, to transform the lives of those with cancer is unwavering, my mission has expanded to design, develop and deliver new medicines for serious diseases in areas of high unmet need such as immunology, cardiometabolic, neuroscience and many other conditions.
Joining BMS, with a rich scientific heritage, broad and innovative pipeline and a culture rooted in making a difference, gives me the opportunity to realize that mission – unlocking the potential of a future where no patient or caregiver has to hear that we have exhausted treatment options.
I’m deeply grateful for everyone who has been part of my journey to this point and am looking forward to working together with my new BMS colleagues on this next chapter.”
