Christian Blank: Negative Impact of Stress on Outcome of Checkpoint Inhibition in Melanoma and Lung Cancer
Christian Blank, Staff Member at The Netherlands Cancer Institute, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Congratulations Mees Egeler, John Haanen and Lonneke van de Poll-Franse with your tremendously important observation of stress being also relevant for the outcome upon TIL therapy now published in the EJC.
These data are in line with other studies showing the negative impact of stress on outcome of checkpoint inhibition in melanoma and lung cancer. We need to unravel asap the mechanism of action to develop novel combination therapies for the patients with this worse outcome upon immunotherapies.”
