Tackling one of the rarest and most challenging topics in breast oncology requires exceptional dedication and international collaboration. This remarkable team has successfully addressed the critical knowledge gap in malignant mesenchymal breast tumors!
BEAM Study: The largest European experience on malignant mesenchymal breast tumors
- 113 patients across 11 European breast units
- 20-year observational analysis
- 10-year overall survival: 75.2%
Key findings:
- Mixed cases emerge as a distinct high-risk entity
- Surgery with negative margins remains the cornerstone of treatment
- Need for new strategies, particularly for high-risk subtypes
