“Whenever someone asks me, how do I define an ideal leader, I only have a few simple things to say.
A real leader is one who collectively guides a set of people, towards a common, committed goal of excellence and non- negoatiable growth, with an individual plan for all based on merit, attitude, strength and weaknesses. Who stands by his/her people in all times and ensures that they become the best version of themselves and evolve individually and collectively.
From being Head Boy at School, Class Representative at College, Medical Officer In-Charge at Block Community Health Centre, Medical Advisor and part of Covid management committee of state spearheading testing strategies and holding various leadership positions in healthcare, including leading the prestigious Centre of Excellence and Digital Pathology and AI initiatives over last 4 years, I have been privileged to have the belief of the ones who have entrusted me with these responsibilities and the ones who have given me the honour to lead them.
Today, on this Doctor’s day, I extend my humble thanks to my fellow doctors for having the trust in my opinion even in the most complex cancer cases, to my patients for giving me the honour to serve them and help them get rid of their ailments to maintain the best of health and to the ones who make me the leader I am.
For all you people, are my real power. The tribe, the family just got bigger.
