“The 11th edition of the SIOG Advanced Course in Treviso opened with energy to spare: delegates from across the globe met face-to-face, forged new connections, and pledged to keep exchanging knowledge long after the course ends.
Alumni who once occupied these very seats have since gone on to steer SIOG itself—proof that a few inspired days here can shape the future of geriatric oncology.
After a rapid-fire refresher on Geriatric Oncology fundamentals, four Working Groups rolled up their sleeves to dissect real-world cases on Gastrointestinal Tumors and Lung Cancer in older adults. Lively debates, multidisciplinary teamwork, and practical takeaways filled the room, setting the tone for two more days of transformation.
