Honoring the Star Acts of MVR CANCON 2025 – INDEPSO

Indian Network for DEvelopment of Peritoneal Surface Oncology (INDEPSO) shared a post on X:

“Honoring the star acts of MVR CANCON 2025!
This year’s conference was electrified by experts who redefined excellence in peritoneal oncology through scientific innovations, mentorship, and unwavering passion.
Prof. Beate Rau – The embodiment of grace and expertise! Prof. Rau delivered brilliant talks on complications of CRS and on colorectal and gastric peritoneal disease, but it was her mentorship and warmth that stole hearts. From academic debates to posing for photos with aspiring surgeons, she reminded us that greatness lies in giving back.
Glehen Olivier spoke on many diverse topics covering the breadth of peritoneal surface oncology with an unmatched flair- surgical tips during the preconference workshop, a beautiful demonstration of one of the most complicated peritonectomy procedures total mesenteric peritonectomy, educating medical oncologists about how HIPEC works for ovarian cancer; PIPAC for gastric cancer; prevention of colorectal PM. An essential part of Indian PSM conferences.

Shigeki Kusamura – The embodiment of clarity! His deep dive into organoids and insights from Peritoneal Surface Oncology Group International (PSOGI) HIPEC consensus session showcased why he’s a global authority. Every word- ‘meticulous’ and transformative’.

Frédéric Bibeau – His pathology workshop was a masterclass in precision! From appendiceal neoplasms to diagnostic nuances in poorly cohesive and signet cells, he made complex concepts accessible. A true educator!
Yan Li couldn’t join us in person but presented a brilliant lecture virtually on translational research in PSM
Grateful to these icons for advancing Peritoneal Oncology – and to MVR Cancer Centre and Research Institute for creating this platform. The future of PSM is brighter because of them!”
