Equity, Diversity and Inclusion in Cancer Care Forum Unites 26 Organizations in Brussels – Youth Cancer Europe
Youth Cancer Europe shared a post on LinkedIn:
“15 EU-funded projects and 26 European and international organisations came together in Brussels for the Equity, Diversity and Inclusion in Cancer Care Stakeholder Forum, hosted by Youth Cancer Europe and European Network of Youth Cancer Survivors.
From inclusive research practices to culturally and linguistically accessible services, the day’s agenda surfaced bold, evidence-backed ideas – and tough questions. How do we ensure no one is left behind in cancer care? What happens when political momentum for diversity stalls, even as the cost of inaction becomes clearer?
LGBTQI+ care, refugee access, and the rights of marginalised communities were front and centre, along with discussions on responsibility, systems, and structural exclusion.
A huge thank you to all speakers and participants, especially Annika Nowak (DG RTD), Stefan Schreck (EU Health and Food Safety), and MEP Katrin Langensiepen, for your time and thought-provoking input.
Our massive appreciation goes out to everyone who braved the heat and powered through eight hours of more than 30 rapid-fire presentations with unwavering focus and curiosity.”
