JJ Singleton Reflects on Attending SWOG Cancer Research Network Spring Meeting
JJ Singleton, Cancer Survivor, Advocate and Ambassador at Fight Colorectal Cancer, shared on X:
“The spring meeting for SWOG Cancer Research Network is complete this was technically my second meeting but due to the craziness of last fall I felt like this was my first one I was truly there for.
Many people ask me what SWOG is it’s a global cancer research community that designs and conducts publicly funded clinical trials. My role there which I’m so lucky and honored to have is the community advocate for all advanced cancers
The patient advocacy PAC we focus on All Persons. All Places. All Times.
The vision of Patient Advocate Committee (PAC) is to ensure that SWOG trials are accessible and available to all people impacted by a cancer diagnosis.
The Pac is such an incredible group of advocates and humans that truly inspire me constantly to continue in advocacy to do things I didn’t think was possible before.
I’m so honored and grateful for the opportunities and amazing people I’ve met and can’t wait to see and continue the incredible work we are doing
See you all in the fall in Chicago.”
