Could a breath test help detect lung cancer? – Lung Cancer Europe
Lung Cancer Europe shared a post on X:
“Could a breath test help detect lung cancer? Dutch researchers are testing an ‘electronic nose’ that picks up lung cancer patterns in exhaled breath. Early days – but if proven, it could offer a quicker, easier way to spot lung cancer, especially where access to scans is limited. Early diagnosis saves lives.”
Lung Cancer Europe shared information about a new Dutch study exploring an electronic nose device that detects lung cancer patterns in exhaled breath. This early-stage research could pave the way for faster and more accessible lung cancer screening, particularly in areas with limited access to imaging scans.
