House of Representatives voted to advance a budget resolution to cut at least $880 billion in costs – ACS CAN
American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network (ACS CAN) shared a post on LinkedIn:
“This week, the House of Representatives voted to advance a budget resolution that instructs the Energy and Commerce Committee to cut at least $880 billion in costs.
We’re extremely disappointed in this outcome, which could detrimentally impact access to Medicaid for millions of Americans, including cancer patients, survivors, and those at risk of the disease.
Severing the lifeline Medicaid provides does nothing to help countless individuals, children, and families who rely on the program for essential, lifesaving health coverage. Members of Congress must do better.
Hear us loud and clear: Cancer patients, survivors, and their families demand no cuts to Medicaid. Like and share if you’re with us.”
Lisa Lacasse, President of American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network, shared this post, adding:
“We are greatly disappointed by this outcome, but we won’t stop working to protect Medicaid which provides critical access to care to millions in the U.S. Patients, survivors and their families can’t afford any cuts to Medicaid.”
