“€7.7 million is needed for the funding of 37 new essential biomarkers.” – Aris Angelis
Hellenic Cancer Federation-ELLOK shared a post on LinkedIn:
“The Secretary General for Strategic Planning of the Ministry of Health, Aris Angelis, attended the 9th ELLOK Conference and announced that, according to estimates, €7.7 million is needed for the funding of 37 new essential biomarkers.
The cost offset – the amount the state saves by funding these biomarkers – is projected to be 10 to 15 times the initial investment.
He also pointed out that the Ministry of Health is currently in communication with the National Organization for Healthcare Services Provision and a new framework for biomarker reimbursement is expected within the next three months.”
