The IP-cure-B Project and CirB-RNA Program – ELPA

European Liver Patients’ Association (ELPA) shared a post on LinkedIn:

“Revolutionizing Hepatitis B Treatment: The IP-cure-B Project and CirB-RNA Program!

Big steps are being taken in the fight against chronic hepatitis B (CHB)!

At the IP-cure-B Strategic Meeting, ELPA Director MSc Milan Mishkovikj, M.A. showcased our exceptional contributions and the bold vision ahead. Together with our world-class partners, we are reshaping the future of HBV treatment – driving innovation, advancing new therapies, and moving closer to a cure!

What’s the goal?

  • Boosting Immunity: Developing novel strategies to enhance the immune system’s response and create therapeutic vaccines.
  • Precision Medicine: Identifying key biomarkers to personalize treatment and monitor responses effectively.
  • Next-Gen Vaccines: Engineering cutting-edge DNA-Replicon (DREP)-based and Dendritic Cell (DC)-targeting HBV vaccines for future clinical trials.
  • Advanced-Data Modeling: Using powerful analytics to determine the best combination therapy for CHB patients.
  • Global Impact: Ensuring these innovative therapies are integrated into healthcare systems worldwide!

In Parallel – The CirB-RNA Program:

Since 2017, the CirB-RNA project has been developing a non-invasive diagnostic test that predicts functional HBV cure based on circulating hepatitis B RNA! A true game-changer in HBV diagnostics!

Funded by European Health and Digital Executive Agency (HaDEA) Horizon Europe Agence Nationale de la Recherche under the Investments for the Future program, this project is spearheaded by Université Claude Bernard Lyon 1 and led by Prof. Zoulim, alongside Inserm, Hospices Civils de Lyon, and other top-tier partners.

This is more than research—it’s a revolution in HBV treatment! The future is bright, and a cure for hepatitis B is on the horizon! Stay tuned as we push boundaries, innovate, and transform lives.

Together, we can Cure Hepatitis B and reduce Liver Cancer.

The momentum is unstoppable – stay tuned!”
