It was an enormous privilege for ELPA President Marko Korenjak, ELPA Director Milan Mishkovikj, and Beatrice Credi, Head of our Brussels Office, to meet the extraordinary and inspiring MEP Irena Joveva of the Renew Europe Group. Her vision, passion, and dedication make her a true changemaker in policymaking.
Together, we are tackling one of the most preventable diseases of our time: Liver Cancer, alongside Chronic Liver Disease, Fatty Liver Disease (MASLD/MASH), Hepatitis, and Alcohol-Related Liver Disease. For the first time in history, we stand on the brink of eliminating Hepatitis B, C, and D, reducing Liver Cancer, and transforming outcomes for millions of people around Europe.
Through the power of early detection and screening programs, we can reshaping the future of liver health and reducing the devastating impact of cardiovascular diseases and strokes#.
