A remarkable group of women working in cancer care as part of C/Can’s LPWO – City Cancer Challenge
City Cancer Challenge shared a post on LinkedIn:
“We had the privilege of bringing together a remarkable group of women working in cancer care as part of C/Can’s Leadership Programme for Women Oncologists (LPWO) in collaboration with the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO).
In the vibrant city of Abuja, these dedicated healthcare leaders came together to share experiences and build leadership skills. Through workshops, discussions, and hands-on sessions, the participants worked on strengthening their leadership abilities, fostering collaboration, and creating a shared vision for more equitable and patient-centered cancer care.
Highlights from the week:
• Inspiring conversations about transforming health systems with gender equity at the forefront.
• Practical sessions on leadership development and strategic thinking.
• Building a strong, supportive network of women leaders ready to drive change in their cities and beyond.
This programme is a testament to the power of investing in women leaders to build sustainable, inclusive, and innovative healthcare systems. These women are not just leaders – they are changemakers shaping the future of cancer care.
We are excited to see the ripple effects of their work as they return to their communities empowered to lead transformative change.
A huge thank you to everyone who made this week possible, and to all our partners, especially Roche, that share our commitment to advancing gender equity in healthcare leadership.”
