Ani Haykuni: What do our values say about us and the work that we do?
Ani Haykuni, Founder and CEO of Vann, shared on LinkedIn:
“What do our values say about us and the work that we do?
I do believe that the values and culture of every company depend on the values of the founder or founding team. Eventually, we harvest what we seed, and therefore it is so important to seed the right values and hire the right team members, especially in the early stages of the company, which will be decisive in the future.
The same applies in our personal lives and families. My grandmother used to say that the children are the mirror of every family. Every child represents their parents and mimics their behavior. This example isn’t to compare children with employees but rather to highlight the importance of the human relationships and the values that we cherish as individuals, as founders, as companies, and as a society.
Two main values have always been important to me: respect and transparency, and I do my best to apply these values in my personal and professional life, and I do expect the same from other people that I work with. These are the values that I have made sure are well communicated at Vann, and they are the core of our organisational culture.
Our values define us and the choices that we make, and the path that we are on, and I very much hope that at the end of the day we remain confident that we have done our best to protect the values that we cherish the most.”
