“I have been continuously NIH funded since 1999. It’s been the number 1 reason for success in my career. I think I have made some contributions to help US citizens.

NIH study sections are canceled? What’s going on?

I hope this is some temporary thing. A lot of scientists who need the support of NIH to continue their work and the benefits of their work will be significantly affected even with temporary pauses in NIH grant awards, renewals, or funding.”
