Michael Hofman: A highlight of my year

Michael Hofman, Nuclear Medicine Physician at Melbourne’s Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre and Director of ProsTic, shared a post on X:

“As 2024 wraps up, I would like to share a highlight of my year: delivering the Saul Hertz Lecture at the SNMMI Meeting in Toronto.

It was a chance to reflect on my journey in nuclear medicine — from trainee and challenges as an early-career researcher, to publishing in The Lancet, and from nuclear cardiology to Gallium-68, DOTATATE, PSMA PET/CT and theranostics.

I hope this Saul Hertz lecture inspires others to explore research in nuclear medicine, move from anecdotes to trials and patient-centred discovery research. Huge thanks to everyone who supported me along the way.”
