“C/Can is proud to have participated in the AORTIC- Africa conference, where we shared our knowledge and experience to help improve cancer care in Africa.
Sophie Bussmann-Kemdjo, Regional Director for Africa and Europe, and Marlene Mumukunde, Kigali’s City Manager, presented two posters on closing the gap to access quality cancer care through partnerships and patient navigation in Kigali.
We had panel discussions on cancer care improvement, featuring experts such as Dr. Verna Vanderpuye, Ansu Dukuray, Dr. Zainab Shinkafi-Bagudu, Dr. Lawrence Osei-Tutu, and Dr. Ishmael Kyei. These panels discussed the power of partnerships and highlighted the experiences of C/Can’s city stakeholders, demonstrating how technical cooperation enhances access to Quality Cancer Care.
Three abstracts from our cities’ stakeholders were accepted to the conference. C/Can helped refine these abstracts and supported their attendance and participation.”
