Amalya Sargsyan: An incredible learning experience at National Cancer Institute of Milan
Amalya Sargsyan, Medical Oncologist at Yeolyan Oncology and Hematology Center, posted on Facebook:
“Spent the most amazing 3 months training at the Sarcoma Unit, at National Cancer Institute of Milan, Italy, through the ESO European School of Oncology Clinical Training Fellowship. Rare tumors are even rarer in a small country like mine, so seeing so many rare and ultra-rare sarcomas at once was an incredible learning experience made possible by the support of the European School of Oncology.
None of this would have been possible without the right mentorship—I was so lucky to have the BEST teacher, who made my time in the inpatient clinic so special. And of course, I made lifelong friends from all over the world who made this journey even better.
I’ve returned home with so much motivation and enthusiasm to bring this experience to my own people and continue working with my great home team, Adult Solid Tumor and Chemotherapy Department at Yeolyan Oncology and Hematology Center.”
