Newly diagnosed transplant ineligible. Quadruplet unless frail. Maintenance varies by risk stratification.”
Newly diagnosed transplant eligible. Quadruplet induction. See below for transplant timing and maintenance. ASH24.
First Relapse I don’t recommend CART in first relapse even though it’s approved except in very selected patients (eg., high risk progressing early while on quadruplet). ASH24.
Second or later relapse. ASH24.
True Penta-Refractory myeloma (refractory to PI, Imid, CD38, alkylator, and BCMA targeted approach). ASH24.
In general if possible and available a clinical trial is preferable to these algorithms. These are general principles. You have to individualize treatment selection. Also treatments evolve. For more updates. ASH24.

He also chairs the Board of directors of The International Myeloma Foundation and the Eastern Cooperative Oncology Group (ECOG) Myeloma Committee.
His extensive contributions include over 230 peer-reviewed publications, predominantly focusing on multiple myeloma and related plasma cell disorders. Furthermore, Dr. Rajkumar is a Section Editor for multiple myeloma and related disorders for Leukemia and an Associate Editor for the Mayo Clinic Proceedings.
