Bob Li: Cure4Cancer International Movement Global is also local, let’s spread the word
Bob Li,
“I am proud to have worked with esteemed multi-stakeholder leaders at the Bloomberg New Economy International Cancer Coalition, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and Asia Society in writing and publishing this Cure4Cancer global health equity policy report today. Core to the Cure4Cancer International Movement, we have focused on expanding patient access to cancer clinical trials with a case study on China and Project Orbis, timed just ahead of the Biden-Xi meeting at the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation Summit.
This is the first of a series, as we will study global health equity and policy harmonization for cancer clinical trials across the Asia-Pacific, Latin America, Africa and more, as no country is spared the scourge of cancer.
We live in a fragmented world full of conflict and violence, yet the global fight against cancer brings us together against a common enemy of humanity. Borrowing advice from Kevin Rudd, history is not pre-destined by anonymous forces or fairy dust, but it is written by committed women and men, individual human beings who make the difference. We all have a role to play in this International Movement, in raising public awareness to advance global collaboration on patient-centric clinical trials. Global is also local, let’s spread the word.”
