Angela Mastronuzzi: 30 years of Peter Pan ODV
Angela Mastronuzzi, Pediatric Hematologist-oncologist and the Head of the Neuro-Oncology Unit at Bambino Gesù Children’s Hospital, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“30 years of Peter Pan ODV!
On Monday, in celebration of their anniversary, the event ‘Evolution of therapies and treatment protocols in pediatric hematology-oncology in recent decades’ took place at Sala della Protomoteca in the beautiful Campidoglio.
I was honored to represent AIEOP: Associazione Italiana Ematologia Oncologia Pediatrica and take part in the Roundtable: ‘Progress, challenges still open and future prospects in the fight against childhood cancer. The point of view of science, volunteers and parents.’
We thank Peter Pan ODV for your dedication and promise that ‘no one should ever feel alone, staying at the side of children with cancer and their families’.
Article out with AGR- ‘Today, more than three children a day in Italy are affected by cancer, but 80% of them are cured. Peter Pan ODV turns 30, a volunteer organization that welcomes and supports children who, with their families, travel to Rome for treatment.’ ”
