Over 60 Men Screened at Gator Fanfest Through New Mobile Cancer Screening Connector – UF Health Cancer Center
UF Health Cancer Center shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Today, through a partnership with Man Cave Health and the Prostate Cancer Foundation, we provided more than 60 men with PSA tests to screen for prostate cancer with our brand-new Mobile Cancer Screening Connector at Gator Fanfest.
Our team also provided education and answered questions to make sure men have the information they need on prostate health. It was an incredible day raising awareness about prostate cancer and promoting early cancer detection.
The event also included special guest appearances by several Gator legends, including Coach Steve Spurrier, Brandon Spikes, Shane Matthews, and Danny Wuerffel. We even had a visit from Albert and Alberta.
A huge thanks to our staff for their hard work, Alison Ivey, Amy Gunnett, Jennina Garde, and Jennifer Woodard provided phlebotomy services and conducted screening. UF Health urology advanced practice providers Jasmine Brown and Mitsu Andre helped counsel men on prostate cancer screening. Eloise Wein and our amazing COE team led by Jen Woodard assisted with navigating patients.”
