Habib Nehmé: Strengthening Presence in Saudi Arabia’s Radiotherapy and Oncology Market
Habib Nehmé, Chief Commercial Officer at Elekta, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Elekta: Strengthening Presence in Saudi Arabia’s Radiotherapy and Oncology Market.
Elekta, a global leader in radiotherapy and oncology informatics, is prioritizing the Saudi Arabian market as a key region for growth and innovation. To strengthen its presence, Elekta has established a new partnership with Magnetar, a distinguished company whose shareholders include Abdelaziz El Habib, Ali Damati, Ahmed El Shemla and Abduljabbar Saade.
Elekta’s advanced technologies are already implemented across key medical centers in Saudi Arabia, including King Faisal Specialist Hospital in Riyadh, National Guard Health Affairs, Riyadh Military Hospital, and King Khalid University Hospital. Elekta is also represented in the Eastern Province at Al Manei Hospital and in Jeddah at King Abdelaziz University Hospital.
Recently, I had the pleasure of attending the Global Exhibition of Healthcare in Riyadh alongside Bala Manikandan, Senior Vice President of Elekta for TIMEA, and Wael El Asrighy, Elekta’s General Manager for the Middle East.
During this event, we met with major stakeholders from institutions like King Faisal Specialist Hospital, Sulaiman Alhabib, and had the honor of discussing Elekta’s partnership with Swedish entities and Saudi cancer treatment centers with Her Excellency Petra Menander, the Ambassador of Sweden to Saudi Arabia.
Given the significant private healthcare investments (SAR 50 million) and comprehensive reforms in Saudi Arabia’s public health sector, there are outstanding opportunities to expand access to cancer treatment and to elevate the standard of care using Elekta’s innovative technologies.
During my visit, I also had the privilege to meet with key clients at the National Guard, King Faisal Specialist Hospital, King Khalid University Hospital, and Riyadh Military Hospital, all of whom utilize Elekta’s and particularly neurosurgery gold standard equipment, the Leksell Gamma Knife Icon.
Finally, it was a true honor to meet with the esteemed Professor Khaled Al Kattan, Dean of the King Faisal Faculty of Medicine, further cementing Elekta’s commitment to advancing healthcare excellence in Saudi Arabia.”
