The ASCO International Cancer Research Scholars Program

The ASCO International Cancer Research Scholars Program is a new initiative designed to support early-career researchers in cancer research globally. This program aims to foster collaboration, provide mentorship, and enhance the research skills of scholars from diverse backgrounds. Participants typically engage in training, networking opportunities, and may receive funding to advance their projects. It’s a great opportunity for those looking to make significant contributions to the field of oncology.

In connection to this program Julie Gralow shared a post on her X account:

The training will be delivered both in-person and virtually, with a 2-day workshop in São Paulo, Brazil on October 31 and November 1, hosted by Hospital Sirio Libanes, followed by quarterly online learning sessions and additional virtual networking and learning opportunities. Sessions will include information on pairing research ideas to appropriate trial designs, developing suitable biostatistical plans for research, common-sense oncology research, avoid bias, publishing, and applying for grants.
