JC Rodriguez: Be “whole-listic”

JC Rodriguez, shared a post on LinkedIn:

“I will be the first to admit conventional medicine has failed in many ways.

public health communication
– bed side manners in many ways
– racial and economical disparity
– abuse of science
– lack of prevention

And more.

BUT holistic medicine is also not the answer.

And instead of throwing out the whole system. Take what is good and add in what is missing.

Be “whole-listic”

Aka your provider didn’t tell you about exercise.

Work with an exercise physiologist.

Your provider didn’t give you sufficient answers in nutrition.

Work with a dietician.

You just got done with surgery.

Go to physical therapy.

Hate taking medications.

Work with an online coach who can help you build a lifestyle that may potentially no longer require you to need medication.

You can take medication and focus on healthy living. It’s not one or the other. In fact many (if not all) cases you actually NEED both.

And lastly, I don’t know who needs to hear this but the holistic “medical system” is trying to put you on more pills (supplements) than the conventional medical system is.

The only difference is that their pills, aren’t necessary, and don’t work…(this isn’t a thought or an opinion, it’s a fact).

Sorry, but there is no body of evidence that supports most supplements work (only a few do….. very few… like a handful at best actually work).

Now if you want to take them in case it works then go ahead but don’t be fooled into thinking it’s the life saving solution for your gut, cells, or long term health.”
