IARC is hosting the Expert Working Group of the EC Initiative on Cervical Cancer
International Agency for Research on Cancer shared a post on LinkedIn:
” International Agency for Research on Cancer is hosting the Expert Working Group of the European Commission Initiative on Cervical Cancer as they review the latest scientific evidence on the effectiveness of different cervical screening methods in reducing cancer mortality.
Following this, the group will make recommendations that could be used by policy makers on screening methods and age ranges in European Union Member states. This is part of a roadmap to update the evidence-based guidelines and develop a quality assurance scheme for cervical cancer care services in the European Union.
International Agency for Research on Cancer’s Early Detection, Prevention and Infections Branch is leading the initiative in collaboration with the European Commission’s Joint Research Centre and funded by European Health and Digital Executive Agency.
Find out more about the project here.“
