Christine Mayr: The longest mRNAs bound that plays an essential role in cellular signaling
Christine Mayr, Professor at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, shared on X a paper by Xiuzhen Chen et al. titled “The FXR1 network acts as a signaling scaffold for actomyosin remodeling” published in Cell.
Authors: Xiuzhen Chen, Mervin M. Fansler, Urška Janjoš, Jernej Ule, Christine Mayr.
“Our new paper!
mRNAs play structural roles in the cytoplasm. The longest mRNAs bound to FXR1 generate an mRNA-protein assembly that plays an essential role in cellular signaling by enabling proximity of proteins without RNA binding domains.”
