JAMA Oncology shared a post on X, about recent paper published in JAMA Oncology:

MRI-Linac–Based Radiotherapy—Promising or Hype?

Authors: Mack Roach, Stella Ling, Pamela W. Coleman.

JAMA Oncology

”Viewpoint discusses the value of magnetic resonance imaging with linear accelerator (MRI-linac) technology, given the unmet needs in its development.”

Nina Niu Sanford shared JAMA Oncology’s post on X, adding:

”This is a balanced editorial of MR-guided RT.

I think we all recognize scenarios where we think MR is very helpful, but can also acknowledge that current policies permit its use for cases with likely 0 clinical benefit.”
