Four-year-old Hunter is a very happy boy, who loves making people laugh, being silly, cars, and riding his balance bike. – St. Baldrick’s Foundation
“Four-year-old Hunter is a very happy boy, who loves making people laugh, being silly, cars, and riding his balance bike. He enjoys music, playing his guitar, Avengers, camping, zombies, nerf guns, school, and WWE wrestlers. His sister is his best friend, biggest cheerleader, and is always there to help him through anything. In turn, he is her protector and the first to defend her if she gets into trouble.
Diagnosed with a brain tumor, optic pathway glioma, in April 2020 at the age of 15 months, Hunter endured months of chemo. However, it wasn’t effective in stopping the tumor growth. A different set of chemotherapy drugs were able to keep his tumor stable until it started to grow again six months later. In June of 2022, a shunt was placed to relieve fluid buildup in his brain. Ten days later, Hunter had a second port placed to start yet another chemotherapy regimen, which ended on June 16th. His family remains hopeful that his tumor will remain stable and can enjoy a life free from chemo.
