She emphasized the momentum in renal cell carcinoma (RCC) research, highlighting how novel immunotherapies, targeted drugs, and rational combination strategies are reshaping patient care. Dr. McKay underscored the importance of personalized, biomarker-driven approaches and global collaboration, aiming to optimize survival and quality of life worldwide.

Dr. Mati is a Medical Oncologist at the Albania American Hospital. She focuses on advancing renal oncology care amid the evolving healthcare landscape in Albania.

At the Global Voices in Renal Oncology (VIRO) Virtual Congress 2025, Dr. Mati will present on “The Current State of Renal Oncology in Albania.” Her presentation will cover:

  • Epidemiology and trends in renal cancer incidence and outcomes in Albania.
  • Challenges faced by the Albanian healthcare system in diagnosis, treatment access, and follow-up care for renal cancer patients.
