Esosa Omoregie: I have been awarded a Certificate of Membership by the ASBMB

Esosa Omoregie, Graduate Research Assistant, Dept. of Biology at Georgia Southern University, shared a post on LinkedIn:

“Certificate of Membership from ASBMB.

I am excited to share that I have been awarded a Certificate of Membership by the American Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (ASBMB). This recognition is a testament to my dedication and contributions to advancing molecular life sciences.

Currently, my research focuses on the roles of aquaporin 10c1 and C2 in osmoregulation. These integral membrane proteins are pivotal in maintaining cellular homeostasis by facilitating the transfer of water and small solutes across cell membranes. Understanding their functions can significantly enhance our knowledge of cellular processes and stress responses.

Moreover, the dysregulation of aquaporins has been linked to various cancers. By exploring the molecular pathways involving aquaporin 10c1 and C2, my research aims to uncover novel strategies for cancer treatment. This investigation holds potential for identifying therapeutic targets and improving patient outcomes.

I am grateful for the support and recognition from ASBMB and look forward to continuing my contributions to molecular biology and cancer research.”
