Deborah Pulido, Patient and Community Outreach Manager at the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“LLS recently hosted a hybrid event at Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center, with attendees joining both in person and virtually! C. Ola Landgren delivered a fantastic presentation to attendees about the future of Myeloma and its treatments. Here’s a quick snapshot of the program!”
C. Ola Landgren, Professor of Medicine, Chief of the Division of Myeloma at University of Miami and Leader of Experimental Therapeutics Program at Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center, shared this post, adding:
“Thank you The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society for inviting Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center to be part of your amazing hybrid seminar for myeloma patients in beautiful Miami!
It was a true honor to present on ‘the future of myeloma treatment and monitoring: what’s next?’ for the in-person group of almost 50 people in Miami, and over 1700 registered participants online across the country!
Thank you to all participants – from the East cost to the West coast – from the north and the south – and from the middle of the county. Currently, over 180,000 individuals live with multiple myeloma in the U.S.
We are part of the global movement, working to advance the myeloma field. Together, we are developing novel treatment strategies and new MRD and disease-profiling assays, we are working to limit toxicities from therapies, and we are developing studies designed to deliver a cure for multiple myeloma!”
