“Thank you to the Oak Foundation for the generous support for our work in children’s and young people’s cancers.
So proud of the team for all they have done to reach the £200m mark and excited to see the global philanthropic community continue to get behind the campaign to take us past our target. Because more funding = more research.”
“The More Research, Less Cancer campaign will play a crucial role in delivering our strategy. It will enable research that will make transformative steps forward in how we prevent, diagnose, and treat cancer, and ultimately support our vision to bring about a world where everybody can lead longer, better lives, free from the fear of cancer.
Cancer Research UK (CRUK)’s campaign has raised more than £200m, over halfway towards the £400m target – fantastic news.
Since launching publicly earlier this year, we’ve been so grateful for the generous donations we’ve received so far. One of the most recent gifts is from global impact grant maker Oak Foundation, who donated £8m towards our research into children’s and young people’s cancers.
A heartfelt thanks to all those who have supported this campaign so far. We’ve come so far, and with every milestone like this we’re able to commit to more long-term research projects that will truly change outcomes for cancer patients.”
