Elizabeth Ugwoma Awo-Ejeh: Let’s prioritize our well-being and include health screenings as part of our 2025 goals
Elizabeth Ugwoma Awo-Ejeh, Manager at Ugwoma Beauty Salon and Spa, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Some young ladies recently reached out to me, expressing their desire to get screened but lamenting the cost. I completely understand because I’ve been there.
I often think about my northern sisters back in Zamfara, where I grew up. Many women there lack access to outreach programs or free screening initiatives.
This reality drives my passion to push for a future where young women, regardless of their financial situation, can access breast ultrasounds or mammograms for free.
Until that dream is realized, we need to be intentional about our health. If it means saving up to get screened, please do it.I know it’s not easy—we save for clothes, hair, and so many other things, but what good are those if we’re not healthy?
Let’s prioritize our well-being and include health screenings as part of our 2025 goals.
Remember, this is not just a “ladies’ issue” it affects everyone.
Early detection saves lives, and taking that step to care for yourself is an act of love for those who care about you. You are worth it, and your health.”
