Carmen Uscatu: The quiet has settled within me. And I enjoy it.
Carmen Uscatu, President and co-founder of Dăruiește Viață/Give Life, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Stillness.
I tell everyone: the quiet has settled within me. And I enjoy it.
Yes. It’s been a month since I launched, alongside the most beloved, the most beautiful, the best people in my life, the book “The Year I Did Not Die.” I feel peace. As I have never felt before. On the outside, when I am not upset for some stupid reason, I emanate quiet. The interior, however, is not like that for me. Or it wasn’t. I am always looking for something.
Now I just live. I enjoy everything that happens to me and look at people with curiosity. And it’s wonderful.
A quote from the book, words that resonated with one of the readers:
“I had stopped breathing, I wanted to heal first and then breathe again. As in life: we wait to finish the work and then live, to overcome the difficult period and then enjoy. But let’s not let life pass us by waiting for the right opportunity. The right opportunity to live is today.”
Merry Christmas with quiet and peace. Because, isn’t it, neither peace nor quiet are given. They are a gift.
