Arif Kamal: American Cancer Society’s Road to Recovery Program
Arif Kamal, Chief Patient Officer for the American Cancer Society, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“You probably don’t know Lorrie Pate, and there are 4,969 volunteers across the country just like her.
Inspired to support others by the news of three friends diagnosed with cancer over the last year, Lorrie put her time and energy into helping people get to lifesaving cancer appointments through the American Cancer Society’s Road To Recovery program.
And, she won our ‘Rookie of the Year’ award for going above and beyond in serving others.
Lorrie was featured on CBS17 to talk about the impact of the program and how anyone with a few free hours a month can make a difference.”
