“On the sidelines of WHA77, I’m delighted to have been part of the launch of the new City Cancer Challenge Research Initiative. This initiative will leverage cities as knowledge hubs on cancer care, generating key learnings to inform evidence-based, cost-effective, and contextualized interventions that strengthen healthcare systems for quality cancer care.
Research is a fundamental tenet in Nairobi City County’s efforts to ensure equitable access to quality and affordable healthcare for all residents of the city and beyond. As a county, we are happy to onboard this strategic initiative as it aligns with the commitment to improving healthcare outcomes through evidence-based policies and practices.
