Wafik S. El-Deiry: Don’t delay your screening because it could save your life

Wafik S. El-Deiry shared on LinkedIn:

“After a screening colonoscopy today, I wanted to share the American Cancer Society Guideline for Colorectal Cancer Screening

Remember, for people at average risk of colorectal cancer, The American Cancer Society recommends that screening starts at age 45. This can be done either with a sensitive test that looks for signs of cancer in a person’s stool (a stool-based test), or with an exam that looks at the colon and rectum (a visual exam) such as a colonoscopy.

Don’t delay your screening because it could save your life.”
