Ben Smith: Guidelines needed for the management of fear of cancer

Ben Smith, Senior Implementation Scientist at The Daffodil Centre, shared a post by Cristiane Bergerot on X/Twitter:

Fear of Cancer affects many cancer survivors, but its management was not discussed in the ASCO anxiety and depression guideline update.

Canada FCR guidelines just published. United States FCR clinical pathway to aid implementation here soon.
The document below, provides a framework for United States guidelines.”

Quoting Cristiane Bergerot’s post:

“Proud to have collaborated on this document with star colleagues. Daniel Hall, Lynne I Wagner, Sophie Lebel, Ben Smith and Elyse Park.

It’s time to integrate evidence-based FCR interventions into existing guidelines to enhance survivorship and alleviate silent suffering.”
