Adam Selipsky: Hurone AI is incorporating Amazon Bedrock in its cancer care platform, making care more accessible for patients in Rwanda, Kenya, and Nigeria
Adam Selipsky, CEO at Amazon Web Services (AWS), shared on LinkedIn:
“More than 700 million people around the world don’t have their basic needs met when it comes to healthcare and social services. We are working hard to change that.
Amazon Web Services (AWS) is committing an additional $20 million in funding to solve for gaps in health equity. This is on top of our $40 million commitment in 2021.
We’re working with dozens of organizations that are using the cloud to make a difference in the lives of underserved populations. Hurone AI is one such example. It’s incorporating Amazon Bedrock in its cancer care platform, making care more accessible for patients in Rwanda, Kenya, and Nigeria. Check out their inspiring work and find out more about our Health Equity Initiative in the comments below.”
Kingsley I. Ndoh, Founder & CEO of Hurone AI, responded:
“Thank you, Adam Selipsky!
This year, Hurone AI is committed to deepening our footprint and making a significant impact in improving cancer care outcomes in these regions. We’re not just developing responsive technology; we’re striving to make health equity in cancer care a tangible reality. Our work with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and the Bedrock platform is a central part of building for the unique clinical context in these regions, and we’re grateful for your unwavering support and to everyone who believes in our mission!
I couldn’t do this work without the relentless effort of the Hurone AI team and our board of advisors. Thank you!”
