Sumanta K. Pal: Could not be more proud of Nick Salgia who gave a stellar thesis defense
Sumanta K. Pal, Vice Chair of Academic Affairs at City of Hope, shared on X:
“Could not be more proud of Nick Salgia who gave a stellar thesis defense yeserday in front of a packed house (incl outside reader David Braun). Nick worked with me at City of Hope for two years where (as a premed!) he developed a masterful understanding of kidney cancer dx/tx.
As an MD/Phd candidate at Jacobs School at University at Buffalo, he joined the lab of Jason Muhitch at Roswell Park and became an expert in sarcomatoid RCC biology. Although we did celebrate with buffalowings (my request), we capped the evening back in his lab (his request) with a lengthy chat about future directions.”
Nazli Dizman, Hematology/Oncology Fellow at MD Anderson Cancer Center, shared Sumanta K. Pal’s post on X:
“Huge congrats, Nick Salgia! So insanely proud of you, my friend! I couldn’t agree more with Sumanta K. Pal
You’re truly one of the most brilliant and kind people I know. I have no doubt you’ll make a tremendous impact on our field as a physician-scientist!”More posts about Sumanta K. Pal and Nazli Dizman on OncoDaily.
