“After months of preparing we are thrilled to finally be able to say that we had a very successfull half-a-day workshop on integrating patient values in guideline development during the European Network of Youth Cancer Survivors ambassadors training event in Vienna!
We explained the steps of clinical guideline development, and presented on current practices and gaps in knowledge. Together with >50 patient advocates from all over Europe we brainstormed on suited roles and strategies for patient experts to be optimally included in the development of guidelines for childhood, adolescents and young adult cancer survivors. Many of them expressed their interest to become actively involved in future guidelines. Mission accomplished!”
