Rasha Aboelhassan: Oncologists are overwhelmed by their own fights against cancer
Rasha Aboelhassan, Senior Oncology Consultant at Nasser Institute Hospital, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“While the whole world is overwhelmed by war everywhere,
Oncologists are overwhelmed by their own fights against cancer.
By all means, I can see that our fight is more serious, and we win gradually by improving survival and quality of life.
A few days ago we have won great fight by PATINA clinical trial:
Addition of palbociclib improves outcomes in HER2-positive, hormone receptor-positive metastatic breast cancer.
In the near future, this special kind of breast cancer patients, would not have to take chemotherapy, and can live with great quality of life, go to their work, raising children, serving community due to our win against cancer by successful results of PATINA trials.
Thanks to all investigators, well done.”
