Hear Her campaign Increasing awareness about lung cancer in women

The Hear Her campaign, organized by Dr. Narjust Florez and the Florez Lab, is dedicated to raising awareness about lung cancer in women.

Focusing on the unique challenges they face in diagnosis and treatment. Research from the LEAD study has shown that women often experience longer delays in receiving a lung cancer diagnosis, which can result in later-stage detection and poorer outcomes. The campaign seeks to amplify the voices of women affected by lung cancer, encouraging earlier detection and better support.

The signature lung pins that are being seen around are a symbol of solidarity, designed to bring attention to this critical issue and spark conversations about the need for more research and improved healthcare policies for women with lung cancer. Through the campaign, advocates aim to increase awareness, reduce stigma, and push for faster diagnoses to ultimately improve survival rates for women.
