Erman Akkus, Medical Oncology Fellow at Ankara University Faculty of Medicine, shared on X:
“One-question oncpoll
In a patient with clinically stage I/II Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer (NSCLC) but upstaged to N2 after surgery, what would be your adjuvant treatment regarding RT?
Here are the Options:
- Only ChT
- ChT and then RT always
- ChT and RT if high risk
- CRT
42.3% of people think chemotherapy (ChT) and radiation therapy (RT) should be used if there is a high risk of complications, 35.1% believe chemotherapy alone (Only ChT) is the best choice. 12.4% prefer both chemotherapy and radiation therapy together (CRT). 10.3% think chemotherapy followed by radiation therapy (ChT and then RT always) is the best approach every time.
